What's a triplet (triplette?) you might ask? Of course, it's a one nighter, or a very small trip. And yes, as of this writing, or posting, Whazoo has lost his groove. Actually Whazoo's groove was killed by bad juju. Hopefully it can be brought back to life but maybe not. Once the groove is gone it's hard to resurrect. I told many that I was through with rvnet, and promised others I'd not be back. Now I find myself with black feathers sticking out of my mouth and no, that crow was not very tasty. However the heat has let up here in the Valley of the Sun and I find myself wanting to get another groove on, in a small way. So I'll post just a few pictures of a triplet. Driving up the Beeline Highway in October, what a green October it is from the rains of two weeks ago. It doesn't take much precipitation to green up the Sonoran Desert and it almost looks like spring. It also happens to be tarantula mating season. We, ok I, spot a large dude on a walk-about, looking for Mrs. Right to spin a web with, right on the highway. Brakes do their herky jerky ABS thing as I peel off to the shoulder. It's time to save a spider. With eight eyes you'd think they could tell a busy highway from the desert floor. However they are basically blind and don't hear too well either. I know this for a fact because when I yelled at him he didn't even blink an eye, or eight. But look, with no groove to go on, here are just a very few pictures of a very special one nighter. The temps were at absolute perfection, atmospheric conditions also perfect, and most of all the company was totally perfect. I see an alligator eating a rabbit, yes? Man's best friend and his better half, also his dog and wife. What? What'd I say? I never noticed before, but many sahuaros are pictured in Whazoo pose. A typical western scene, this corral isn't great, but it is OK. Well that's it for the triplet. I hope everyone has a wheelie good weekend. ReplyDeleteRich, you've never had crow for dinner? I have it very often, and carry a fowl box of tooth pix. I mean full box of tooth pix. Thanks Rich, I hope you and your family are doing well and getting plenty of tc time in.
DeleteAs has been said, "all who wander are not lost".
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I will be hitting the trails and canyons in May for a trip to Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Idaho, Montana, and Washington, then down the west coast thru Oregon, and California back to our digs in the high desert.
Steve
Sounds like a fabulous trip Steve. Personally I like to get lost and wander where I am. I'll hope Utah isn't too hot.
